Information graphics have been around for decades, but they're experiencing a new lease of life thanks to the digital information age.

Suite digs this trend. We even have a number of our own in-house infographics nuts, including our newest team
member
Tim Denee.
Here's some inspiration from around the world:
Old Weather
This video explains how measurements taken from ships logs throughout the 17th-19th centuries will be useful for plotting changes to our climate.
The live action video is overlaid with 3-D animation and infographics, turning what could have been "more boring science", into an engaging story.
Tree of Life
The OECD Better Life Index took what could have been boring bar and radar graphs and combined them into a wonderful forest of colourful trees (or flowers, or windmills - whatever they look like to you!).
Disaster Strikes
Disaster Strikes visualises a century of floods, fires, droughts, and earthquakes around the globe.
You can drag the slider to view strikes by year, or press 'play' to sit back and watch the disasters unfold.
It's a Gas
This is the latest addition to G.E.'s impressive collection of interactive infographics.
The Natural Gas infographic illustrates the scarcity of this natural resource, and contrasts it with the availability of oil and coal. It was designed by David McCandless who spoke at Webstock earlier this year.
A Useful Receipt
Berg London was asked by Icon Magazine to redesign an everyday object, such as the common retail receipt.
They added infographics and statistics that might prove useful to regular customers.
While the output is on paper, the information could be generated on the fly from internet-available data.
